The IFR 11 is a UV Flame Scanner Compact Version specially designed for use in industrial combustion systems. The Flame Scanner can be connected directly to a matching ionization or LDR input of the automatic burner control system. In accordance with EN 298:2012-11, the IFR 11 Flame Scanner is intended for automatic burner controls that check whether a flame signal is still present after a control shutdown.

The UV tube used ensures that background radiation, e.g. from glowing brick linings or mixing equipment parts, is not detected. The internal increase of the UV tube voltage immediately after the supply voltage is applied ensures the safety requirement in accordance with EN 298:2012-11 for checking the UV tube for ignition for intermittent burner operation.

The IFR 11 can be adapted to special requirements with various accessories using the diopter, which also serves as the flame monitor's interface to the combustion chamber.
The flame intensity can be easily recognized via an LED as an optical display. This makes it easy to diagnose the flame intensity directly at the firing device.
