Flame Scanner Compact Version, especially for LowNOx oil and gas burners with increased temperature range.
The KLC 21 broadband flame detector is a Flame Scanner Compact Version that has been specially developed for blue-burning firing systems in forced draught burner applications in the domestic sector. The patented evaluation of the signal is based on the flicker frequency of the radiation from the flame. The device can be operated in an extended temperature range from -20 °C to +75 °C. A processor enables the flame signal to be evaluated and converted into a digital signal in the value required for the flame signal amplifier of the corresponding automatic burner control unit. No adjustment work is required during commissioning or maintenance.
The KLC 21 only evaluates the flickering of the flame to be monitored. A device version with interference frequency suppression is optionally available.
Uniform light radiation and any constant frequencies do not lead to permanent flame detection. Interfering extraneous light sources, e.g. from fluorescent tubes or low-frequency background radiation from glowing brickwork, are suppressed. Unwanted influences on flame detection can thus be avoided.
Various relevant operating parameters (e.g. monitoring of the flame signal, serial number) can be read out via the LED display as an optical interface.
